Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The Neonatal Unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital accept babies from 27 weeks gestation. Babies are cared for in the neonatal unit if they require intensive or high dependency care.

We also have a transitional care unit for babies and mums being prepared to go home. The length of time a baby will spend on the unit could be anything from a few days to several months. Additionally we have a small flat for parents to stay in overnight if their baby is really ill, or they live a distance away.

It is important to us that not only are the babies well cared for on our unit but the parents and siblings are supported too: so our wish list is comprised of items that we will make our unit as welcoming and comfortable as we can for families as well as their babies.
