Charity Community Educator
What can you expect?
- Delivering talks and presentations about Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity to a range of audiences including local community groups and schools.
- Promote charity presentations and book speaking engagements in your local area.
- Represent the charity at events and donation presentations.
- A mixture of the above or just one – it’s up to you!
There are no set time expectations, but we would hope you could deliver one or two presentations throughout the year.
What experience is needed?
You don’t need any previous experience in public speaking or presenting—just confidence speaking in front of a group and ideally some confidence in using Microsoft PowerPoint.
We’re simply looking for people who enjoy being active in their local community and are eager to help raise awareness of their local hospital charity.
In return, our charity team will provide all the support and tools you need. We aim to give you a rewarding and interesting volunteering experience where you can develop new skills, meet new people, be part of a great team, and make a real difference by supporting your local hospital charity.
Is there any training?
Before you become a volunteer, you will be invited to attend our Trust induction programme and will need to complete our E-Learning for Health modules.
Training is really important, because we want to make sure both you and our patients are safe. It helps us feel confident that you have all the info you need to carry out your volunteer activities safely, without putting anyone at risk.
