Maternity Bereavement Fund

The Maternity Bereavement team are specialist midwives who support families who suffer baby loss. The team are there to provide practical support, create special memories for families and ensure they have the support they need going forward. 

The Maternity Bereavement Fund is here to support additional areas of comfort and care for families. This includes providing and up keeping dedicated spaces for families to use following their bereavement. We know from the conversations we have with parents how important the bereavement suite facilities are - a space for mothers, partners and family to go, away from the noise and bustle of the nearby maternity ward. 

The fund also supports the memory gardens for families to access over the years to come, as well as the purchase of memory making materials and funding additional specialised training for staff to care for families.
