Together we have raised £223,000!

On 12 October 2026,  20 Buddy Beds arrived, finding their final homes in the Postnatal Ward, ready to support our newest arrivals and their loved ones in those first moments together, all thanks to the supporters of Hold the Moment – Maternity Appeal. 

The charity team were on hand to support the Buddy Beds arrival, and it was brilliant to see the old upright chairs being swapped over for the new reclinable Buddy Beds. The beds are specialized pieces of equipment that transform from a comfy bedside chair to a fully reclinable bed, the beds recognise that childbirth can be a long and exhausting experience, now partners can be more comfortable during this important time with their loved ones.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Appeal, we are delighted to see the first enhancements arriving in our hospitals and can’t wait to keep you updated in the coming weeks with more exciting deliveries to your hospitals!

The appeal has seen the community come together; with community maised funds and clocked up the miles a community midwife team travels in a month throughout November and December 2025, and community members also hosting their own fundraisers. The appeal has also seen generous donations by the public, and the charity has also secured grants from local grant funders.
