The birth of a baby is a wonderful and complex process. Many physical and emotional changes occur for both mother and baby; however some new born babies will require specialist care in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Giving birth to a sick or premature baby can be unexpected and extremely overwhelming for any parent.
NICU team members work in collaboration with parents to create a plan of care for their newborns. The NICU has advanced technology and trained healthcare professionals to give special care for the tiniest patients.
We know it can be a worrying time when your baby is on the neonatal unit. With this in mind, we aim to give babies and their parents the best experience possible. We want to make a real difference and provide the best possible facilities, equipment and environment that we can.
Fundraising supports special events, projects and experiences that go above and beyond to core NHS provision. As well as much needed practical support the funds also allow us to provide 'special extras ' for the babies and their families.
Thank you so much for your support.
