Every year our specialist Urology service performs around 2,500 surgical procedures, sees more than 22,000 patients in clinic and deals with over 1500 emergencies. We are based at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch where we have our Urology Theatres delivering state of the art surgery plus our specialist wards with world class expertise and nursing care.
The team of Consultant Urologists, Urology Nurse Specialists and support staff also provide specialist care for patients at all sites across Worcestershire’s acute hospitals. We are a recognised training centre for Urology - helping prepare the next generation of surgeons and nurses for the future.
The Urology Charitable Fund supports additional projects, equipment and service improvements that are not funded by core NHS provision.
Funds raised so far have supported our staff to attend additional learning opportunities and training events which then enhance the knowledge and skill set of the whole Urology team - all of which enables our service to provide the very best care for our patients.
Future projects will aim to continue developing the skills of our team as well as provide additional investment for our Urology clinical areas, improving the environment for our patients. Funds will also support provision of additional medical equipment, dedicated to the treatment of Worcestershire’s Urology patients.
